I am trying to figure out how to prevent the view name from being displayed on my plans by the interior elevation tag. I have searched through view properties for the right field to uncheck, I've tried to find the tag in the Imperial Library but it does not seem to be there (i'm sure i am missing something). The previous project I worked in did not display the view names so i know it is possible, but nobody remembers how they were turned off.
Any help will be much appreciated.

I just found that in the same menu you can change the size of the tag itself, last option at the bottom "dimension" the default is 1/2" Someone might have figured it out somewhere else, but I hadn't seen it yet.

Even after reading this, it took me a while to figure out. So here is what I did, that so far seems to be working. I'm using 2011. Go to the Families area in the browser, and hit the plus to expand it. Go to Elevation Mark Pointer_Circle. Hover over it and right click. Then hit edit. The Family Editor will open. Delete the Name, delete the reference, so that only the 1 is left. Reload it into the project, and say yes to "overwrite existing." Now only the number shows, not the label.

I'm having a similar issue that's driving me crazy. I'm trying to edit the appearance of my exterior elevation tags. I understand how to edit families and have not had problems changing the appearance of other revit tags. However, I can not locate the building elevation tag in order to edit it. I've looked on multiple occasions in the Imperial Library folder as well as under the families tab in the Project Browser. I know I must be missing something because it's just not there ?? Using 2009, but any advice would help. Thanks!
