does anyone know if residential building contractors
prefer 18x24 (C size) or 24x36 (D size) drawings on
paper to work from?

hello Ron.. where have u been?
I always print in 18x24 when the plans fit ok
The contractors I work with don't care and this size
is easier to view for the carpenters

We givve usually A1 (full Size), A3 (reduced for the hip pocket) and a disc with PDF files (they can not read DWF :-(

Ours all want Arch D (24 x 36). That seems to be the standard we work with here in VA.
