I am new to REVIT and am trying to create a "light box" embedded in a wall that does not penetrate the entire wall. Does anyone know how I would do this? Thanks in advance.

When modeling the family create a void extrusion for the opening in the wall you want. Then use the cut geometry tool to create the void space in the wall. Lock the void to the face of the wall and use an additional reference plane for the depth (ideally with a parameter so that you adjust it in the project without going back into the family). Finally model your light box over the void which was create. (Note: if you want this to actually emit light it will have to be modeled on the light fixture-wall based template. You will also have to adjust the location line for the light source so that it is inside the wall.) I am attaching a simple model of a Mirror cabinet which does not have a depth parameter as our deadline was pressing and haven't yet had a chance to make the family fully "parametered".
