I would like to change a Parameter and have it change text within a Detail Group so I don't have to edit group and change everything each time. Is this possible?

What do you mean "have to change everything each time"?
If you have a detail group containing text, editing the group and changing the text and finishing the group then propagates the change to all instances of that group.
How is this any different from say having a symbol for your text and a type parameter and changing this. If you were to go for this method you lose your ability to adjust the text box size easily without having to go edit the family each time.
The first method to me seems like the easier option, unless i'm missing the point?

I want to change the basement wall height and have it change the text in the project summary box, change it in the detail group of a typ wall section (just text here not a dim) and on the basment info list. I find I miss at lest one of these places. So how would be a good way to do this?
