THE MASSES I'VE CREATED, EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE TEXTURES AND SURFACE PATTERNS EMBEDDED IN THEM , APPEAR AS THOUGH HTEY WERE CLEAR, HOLLOW OBJECTS WHEN VIEWED IN HIDDEN LINE MODE IN ELEVATIONS AND PERSPECTIVE SHOTS. ANY GOOD IDEAS ON HOW TO REMEDY?

maybe check and see if you have the element properties set up to be a solid or a void.

How do they look with shading? The transparency on your material may be set to an extream so they are transparent.

Element properties (solid/void) are set correctly, material is at zero transparency. the objects look fine in shading w/edges when printed. They are simply small cubes reprsenting frieze molding. any further input would be appreciated. thanks

Set your transparency at 99 and let me know how it looks.

masses are transparent objects that will help you create other geometry, to make them "hold" their matterials correctly you need to use the create in place command and make them as part of a whatever family and so they become objects, or you can use the wall to face or roof to face in the massing tab. I hope this answers your question Smile

I've had issues with this, too. Mainly when exporting to a DWG with elevations. Creating a family in place makes since. I'll have to try that one when I return from LUNCH! Poppy
