It would be a good idea for Revit to Inherit the old Co-ordinate system from the autocad 2D/3D product line. I use this to isue Coordinates to site for Placement of Houses and other site elemants this has proven to be a very fast and accurate way of producing site layouts. The Coordinat system should be visable as before and a coordinate tag would speed up the proces of producing seting out Drawings for site.

Co-ordinates are available in revit, Check out the tutorial on finding the origin. However, what i would wish for is being able to place a tag for a corner of a wall that reports the x/y co-ordinates for the location rather than having to dimension it...

Also note the Specify Coordinates at a Point function under the tools menu. I have had great success with this by creating a model line and specifying my origin or the true coordinates for a project at the appropriate endpoint. This also applies for exports to an AutoCad format. For example, by specifying 0,0 at the intersection of two gridlines, the intersection will align to the AutoCad origin when imported in that format.
