It showed up in plan view for me. Make sure that your view has the window category displayed and that your cut plane is cutting through the window. To set cut plane go to View Properties (VP) then scroll down to view range and set accordingly. If your window is above the cut plane such as in a stairwell high bay, then you may want to explore "plan regions" which set the cut plane differently for a certain area of the view.

Looking at the family there seems to be something wrong with the modeling of the geometry. I can't quickly pinpoint what it is but it is causing the cut geometry to be shown in projection instead of as cut.
The quickest work-around for this would be to make all the modelled geometry not visible in plan view and draw symbolic lines (locked to the existing modelled geometry) which will accurately show the window in plan.
The only other work around I can think of is to try playing aournd with plan regions and see if you can get most of the geometry above the cutting plane and above the view range limits.
HTH.
The reason why the changing the visibility (VG) settings didn't work was that none of the gemometries were connected with the subcatergories for the window.

Again, lack of properly created content is rearing its ugly head. I've said this so many times yet it seems to be falling on deaf ears at Autodesk. As more people are adopting Revit this is going to become a worse problem not better and I'm afraid it will sink the mass adoption of Revit if Autodesk doesn't get with it.
