I need to draw a wall profile over a DWG (it's a renovation and I have the data from a laser scan). The problem I have is that all DWG's get imported/linked to a floor plan elevation only. How can I rotate such a DWG in order to see it in elevation and be able to trace the profile for the wall or position windows in elevations? Any help appreciated. Thomas

It works, forget my question, it also works to import directly into a elevation view, the problem was unit-related, not rotation. Thomas

I'm having the same problem. How did you get around it?

when linking the file in , you have an option import or link to current view. untick this box and your dwg will import into all view. or be in the elevation you want to place your dwg and choose the current view only option.

when I import into elevation view, it won't show up. It doesn't give me an error. Just nothing appears. I zoom to fit, to see if it's maybe way off the screen, but still nothing. Is there something in ACAD that I need to do?
