What strategies are you folks employing to archive standard details within the REVIT umbrella? For some reason, the importation of dwg details isn't a perfect endeavor. Some of the text gets a bit funky and sometimes the detail just doesn't look that good. I end up redoing dims and notes sometimes, sometimes stuff doesn't make it through the importation process. Its kind of a poor way to rely on detailing. I'd prefer to drop a REVIT based 2D detail onto a sheet, but from where? Where do I store such things? Also, if I utilize a part of the model geometry for use in a detail, I'd hate to have to recreate that detail in another project and have to add the same notes and same callouts and same dims all over again. Is there a way to store this stuff? A snapshot or a detail file analygous to a sort of mylar overlay where I could just drop the same notes onto the same detail whenever it occurs? Example: Jamb Detail typical notes and callouts for a particular door type where only the parametric aspects of the detail would then have to be edited. What are you folks doing to solve this problem?
