I am working on a project for a renovaiton of a psychiatric center and I loaded a component by mistake. For some reason the file is bogging down my project. The file size jumped from 3.5 mb to 8 mb since it was loaded. Is there some way to remove it from the project like the purge command in autocad? any help will be aprreciated.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the project explorer, you can pick and choose individual families, too. Right click on a family then choose delete. This keeps from loosing, say, all the extra doors, windows, and door types you may want to keep that will be lost when you purge.
