DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A WAY TO OPEN THE DOORS WHEN YOU ARE WALKING THROUGH THE RENDERING, EITHER THAT OR YOU JUST BARREL ON THROUGH THEM. I KNOW HOW TO DO IT IN OTHER PROGRAMS BUT WE CAN'T NAIL IT DOWN OVER HERE.

In my training I was told that that features on the wishlist for the next edition. Crappy, I know.

Actually you can do it in Revit 9, you just have to edit the door family so that it is open. So you should be able to do the same for previous versions.

Revit does not support "animation" and as such the doors cannot "swing" open during a walktrough. You could however find or develop a door family where the 3D geometry of the door is in an open position. This would at least allow a more realistic walkthrough. The ultimate of course is to save the 3D .dwg file out of Revit and link into 3D Studio Max and do the animation during the walkthrough in Max. HTH Tom

Most of the doors in our porjects have vision panels in them. As a result of this we adjust the path of the walk through and have it pass through the vision panel. It also keeps the doors closed in the elevations in the actual CD/DD set.
