I have 11 of the same dormers on the current project I am working on. I created thme with the roof by extrusion method. They are small individual window dormers. The basic shape is an arc top and vertical on the sides. I am trying to attach a trim detail to the dormer on the arc top and the 2 sides (see attached JPG file). However, the Host Sweep command will only let me attach the sweep to the arc top. I cannot use the wall sweep tool for the vertical becaause Revit does not recognise the dormer as a wall. Also, it would not trim (miter) at the join like I would want. Please help. Image: The dormer on the right shows the sweep on the arc top and the dormer on the left shows no sweep attached but one of the highlights of where I can attache the sweep.

I am not completely positive on this one but maybe you could take the vertical part of the dormer and make it a wall instead of the roof by extrusion. Then use the roof as extrusion to create just the arch'ed part. The thickness of the roof would then be the thickness of the trim you need to put on. See if the sweep will work around that corner. If so, draw the walls as walls and extend them to the roof. Not sure if this is perfect solution, but it would be one approach I would take.
