I just start using AutoDesk Revit Structure 3 In my framing plan level 2 i have my structural walls and have some openning with in thoes walls. trying to add header to thoes oppening whats the best way to do this since thoes headers not going to be in my Level 2 is going to be on top of the openging. usually when i draw in autocad for framing plan i show headers in same plan how do i show them now. thanks you

I'm not sure this is going to be helpful - I'm assuming Revit Structure & Revit Building are a lot alike and making assumptions about your question...but here goes... Hopefully your opening (in Elevation) is defined by some reference lines/planes or can at least be algned to. If you've already built out your header (you do that in Revit Building with either an extrusion or a sweep) just make sure that the top of that element is aligned to the reference plane that defines the top of your opening. If you do this successfully, as your opening height adusts, so will your header. As to the remainder of your window this can be a bit tricky (if that's a concern as it's height parameter will have to be an instance parameter). When this is all done - you insure the visibility of your header with a "View Plan" feature in Building. If you don't have that, you can also do it my adjusting the View Properties of the entire Plan view (go to view properties and visibility I believe). I hope I didn't make things worse.
