Please help as its driving me mad..
i have created numerous different wall types for example a domestic cavity wall. when viewed with line thicknesses it always assumes that i want the outer line and inner line to be the thick ones. this is almost never the case as i have plaster on the internal skin (which i would like as a thin line) and sometimes render on the outer skin (which again i would like as a thin line)
does anybody know how to manipulate the lines that make up the wall individually???
thanks in advance

that doesn't help a great deal as it only allows me to change the line thincknesses on all the internal lines or the two external lines. i need to change specific lines thicknesses individually

You have to go in Visibility/Graphics.
In Model Categories, on the right, down, you have "Override Host Layers"
Tick "Cut line Style" and then you can click on "Edit".
And there you have the opportunity to choose the line thickness for each function in the wall.
Very useful, but you have to know where it is !!!!!
I work with a french version, so i hope the terms of the revit menus i used in english are correct !
Good luck

thanks Dho01 but even with that i still have a problem. that functionality only allows me to change all the walls in the project.
Example
External cavity walls and block walls i want to show in a thick line
internal stud partitions i want to show as thin lines
both wall elements are on the same category (ie structure(4)) so it seems impossible to change them independantly.

OK i see...
I think that it is impossible.
The way i use to show stud partitions in thin lines is to create it in an other function than "structural".
I think it is the only way...

Have you tried assigning the line wieghts in object styles like krmccurdy suggested? The best way might be to do this inside the family unless it is a wall otherwise all structural elements are families so you can edit it inside your family.
