When a window with spandrel/infill panels is used in a cavity wall, the internal skin of the wall continues to enclose the insulation. Please see attached pdf Is there a way to create a family that has the inner skin walls included? Post edited on 2006-07-21 04:59:34

Revit 2012

Did you ever find a good solution / workaround for this issue?

Thx.

Do the infill panel as a wall type rather than incorporate it in the window. Position your window, create a new wall type for hjte infill including the internal blockwork & finishes, position this new wall under the window & use the cut geometry tool to cut the main blockwork wall. Voila.

Here is something else you can try that is even simplier.  Create a curtainwall type that has only one preset condition - The panel is the infill wall that you want.  Set the CW to automatically embed.  Now place this CW in one of your exterior walls above the lower window and with the size you need.  It will automatically cut the wall.  Go to elevation views and copy this to other appropriate locations.
