We are doing a large interiors project in which the base building model needs to be locked. We dont want to link it because we want to keep all the features of having everything in the same model, but is there anyway to lock the base building model on a workset, or anything of that nature? Thanks!

You can use the pin tool to pin everything in place. That will allow all the functionality of the wall to remain but it will not be movable or editable without either physically unpinning it or a warning window will be displayed.

I'm working on a tenant improvement project in an existing shel buildingl, too. The pin tool seems to work well to lock everything in the shell building except for storefront windows (curtain walls). For some reason, the edges of the storefronts want to move with nearby perpendicular walls. If I'm not vigilant when I make changes to interior wall locations, I find that the shell building storefronts get messed up. Anyone found a solution for this? Todd
