Hi, we're having problems sending prints to the plotter - single sheets taking 30 minutes plus! It seems to have a particular problem with shadows. Computer info - dell optiplex 3.4 P.4 1.5 gig RAM Radeon x300 256mb video card SATA - Hard drives Giga bit ethernet Is anyone else having this problem? How long does it take you to print on average? Any help would be much appreciated! Post edited on 2006-07-20 08:38:08

Hi I cannot help, but i can tell you that you are not alone having this problem ! I am working on a large 3D model. The plan sheets are quick to print, but the sections, and the 3D views are very slow ! A sheet with 2 sections takes approximatively 20 minutes to produce a PDF file. For the moment, i am trying to print a sheet with two sections and 2 3D views. After 45 minutes, he told me that there was a problem of memory (my computer has 4Gb of ram !!!) Yesterday i tried to print a 3D view with shadows. After one hour, i stopped the process because i had to work !!! So if anybody can help, it would be great !!!

So i have had this problem too. and I noticed that when I had the printer settings set to presentaion quality, it was suppperrr slow!!!!!!. but if i set it to low res, it was 10 seconds fast! give this a shot. worked for me. BTW my clients went GAGA for the presentation plots. take the time to do em.
