Can't get the image to work properly. Anyway, when I select a wall sometimes a red line equal to the thickness of the wall becomes visible. It's oriented to the face of a stud and I can grab the blue grip at the end of the line. I can slide the line up and down along the wall, but I can't figure out what its relationship is to the wall. If I can figure this out I'm hoping that it will solve some problems I have with wall trims. Thanks in advance

At first thought it sounds like the wall in question has an edited profile, but its very difficult to work out without an image. Has the wall had disallow join applied to it and what is the construction of the wall? Have any layers of the wall been unlocked, are there any embedded wall sweeps, is it a compound wall, is it a stacked wall or curtain wall???
