Hi all, I am not too sure about how to warp a component. Can anybody help to explain the concept behind warping, such as what can be warped, how to warp... Can warping be used to create curved components, wall, roof etc? Thanks

Warping is not a concept used in Revit?? To warp i guess you could use an in-place family and create a sweep t get the desired outcome..

if you're speaking of complex curves, you can use a blend with 2 curved profiles...

Sorry, I am a bit lost here. Eventually my main intention is to use warpping to create tensile membrane structures. After the recent Advanced Revit workshop here in KL, I explored the Workshop CD and came across a section called expressive form which introduce way to warp a curtain walling to create a twisted profile. In my mind, this might be suitable to create complex membrane profile as well so I post the particular forum. If anyone who have the CD , maybe can help up as well. It will be nice to know how to create the complex curtain walling as well Thanks

Ahhh, using the Ruled Curtain System in your modelling tab you can create extremely complex curtain walls structures. You just need to draw two model lines on two different planes, go to a 3d view and then go to your modelling drop down menu and choose ruled curtain system then specify the two lines and start added curtain wall grids...
