I remember a reference to someone getting this information to display automatically somehow. Can anyone point me in the right direction?? Thanks, Randy

You can add the parameters to the window properties and then extract them through the window schedule

Thank you, that points me in the right direction. I don't suppose there's a way to have revit do the calculation for vent and light requirements so that you can just pick a window from the mnf. data. This would allow me to skip the calculator and just look in the schedule for the sq.ft. requirements.

In the parameter you would have to add a formula. Say for the glazed area width x height. Same for the vented area. I haven't tried this but I think the thread you are refering to was by eldados.

Two methods: 1. Using shared parameters in the families which are then scheduled in the project and totals are calculated. 2. You can export a Room/Area report with settings on to calculate the window area as a percentage or room area. HTH.
