I am working on the 'basic' tutorial that comes with the Revit Series. I am at the stairs and the hole for the stairs on page 46-7. A hole doesn't occur. I have tried the 'opening' option, without success. Any thoughts?

just edit your floor, draw your hole with the linework tool and finish your floor.

That's the way I read it too. But, I can't seem to get it to work. I get message about intersecting lines or open-ended shape when I click 'finish'. I tried it sketch again not connected to side of floor closest to the stairs and the it seemed to complete. but, when I moved the stairs over to align with what I thought was the hole...there was no hole. Obviously, I am doing something incorrect. have a look at this one. by-the-way, thanks for your

Instead fo using the Opening tool, select your floor and edit the lines which make it up. When doing this make sure that there are no gaps between newly created lines and that everything is a closed loop. Check using the trim tool at all corners. Also loops can not overlap one another, so I would check for that as well.

Hi Mufu, to create a hole on your slab just edit it, sketch with lines the shape of your stairs and then click "Finish Sketch" (see images)
