Is there a specific logic that revit follows to generate wall joins ie corners in plan? Often i have a situation where revit creates a join that is not the most logical way and definately not the way it would be built. Just wondering what criteria revit uses when creating a join.

Umm well i dont know about criteria, but u can edit ur wall joins. Tools > Edit Wall Joins. and place ur mouse over the join and it will give u choices like mitre, butt, square off etc. in your Options bar. So you can change how it joins if you like. Thats about it. Although it doesnt like to work very well if your joining walls from different heights or different levels, its a bit odd but generally works.

Thanks, did some searching the net and discovered that by right clicking on the blue dot at the end of a wall you can "disallow join", then drag walls to positions and then join them with the join geometry tool in the order of preference you require
