when I make a mass then convert it to shell if the surface not horzintal or vertical it coverts to green surface which has not a family type and I want to convert it to roof or wall and use it in construction is there any way to convert irrigular surfane in to roof or wall?????

Can you post a 'picture' of the Massing you are trying to acheive? Massing shapes correspond to components as follows: Vertical faces, including horizontal arc shapes, become walls. For more information about walls, see Exterior/Interior Walls . Horizontal planes lying at the base of each level of the shape become floors. For more information about floors, see Adding Floors . All other horizontal planes become footprint roofs. For more information about roofs, see Roofs . All other faces, such as slanted planes or curved surfaces, become in-place roofs. Components created by massing are locked to the massing by default.
