I cannot seem to change the lineweight of detail components - currently they print real heavy and I want them to print real light - i have tried to us the linework tool but nothing happens when i put the cursor to the detail component - I am using 9.0

You need to open the detail component and create your own line styles with their own line weights.

thats what i ended up doing, i was just hoping it might take less steps like just using that linework tool - thats one thing they should think of in future releases. Thanx for answering my ? - have a great weekend -

Or you could set the line weights in your project of detail items to be thinner.
Object Styles>"Model Object TAB>Detail Items +
