Hello, my firm loves to draw stone as sort of a "patch work" instead of a hatch since sometimes stone hatch patterns can be repetitive and busy. We have a DWG file with preset stone polyline components and use them as shown in the attached image. We want to recreate this in Revit since we've fully transitioned over. I can only think of doing either of these options: 1. Import the DWG and keep it in a drafting view to copy and paste into the elevations. (will this slow down the model immensely? They import as individual lines instead of a polyline, is there a way to join them, would a masking region be better?) 2. Make them into a detail item family and so they're combined and have instance based parameters to toggle through each one. (would a face-based generic model be better for areas where stone would be in front of another materials that isn't stone?) Is there any other better option? We prioritize aesthetic and love the way it was in cad. We want to find the most efficient and best performance-wise way to solve this issue. Thanks in advance!
