Hey everyone, im new to revit and have been playin around with it for a little bit and have got stuck on this little problem. How would i apply a soldier brick course above windows etc?? (not all the way around the building). Whenever i attempt this it applies the soldier to the whole wall instead of above window. Any help much appreciated!!

Hey Darkrob, Welcome to Revit! It is alot of fun once you get the hang of it, good on you for posting problems on here to discuss. You'll find that on the issue you're having with the soldier course the best idea is to add it into the window family (click on the window and edit family), probably model it as a sweep around the opening. There is massive potential when you think about adding flashings and associated window gear in this way, how you edit families is one of Revits massive advantages. The tool you are using is (as you say) for the whole wall, which makes it a little difficult to get all tricky with it. Let us know if its not as easy as I make it sound!

After placing the soldier course on the whole wall, just drag the ends into place. Then you can copy this sweep to other locations along the same wall.
