Does anyone have any advice on placing viewports in the same location on sheets? I.E. 1st, 2nd, 3rd... floor plans in a consistant location from sheet to sheet.

I think this has been an ongoing wishlist item. The best advice I've been given is to set up some Detail lines that are approximately the same distance from the edge of the Sheet to give you some kind of margins. Problem I've run into with this is that all your views have to be EXACTLY the same size in order for this to remotely work.

pS: what are viewports? oh wait.. they're from that other drawing program.. what's it called?.. autosomething...?
