Can someone please tell me why if you insert a colloum and then draw a wall from that collum does the collum then take on the walls property ie when you view it in plan view you can not make out the difference between a collum and a wall. this is very confussing (sorry for the spelling)

The preference eldad refers to are located in the column family: Edit the column family-->Setting-->Family Category and Parameters-->There is an option here to have the column automatically join. Untick as required. HTH.
