has anyone figured out a clever way to make window sills? I modified my window families by adding a sill-shaped sweep to the bottom of my window. this means that my opening cut has to start underneath the sill though. fine for elevations but theres a gaping hole behind the sill on interior shots. any better ideas?

You could replace the Opening Cut in the window family with a void that cuts the wall. Revit won't let you cut a host wall with a void AND a opening cut.

Just a word of caution with doing this, some functionality will be lost for windows:
For instance, when two parallel walls are less than 15mm apart and the join geometry tool has been used, revit will cut an opening to match if there is a window in one of the hosts. If the window uses a void this will not occur.
