Hi Folks,

I have a task. I am working on models for a project and the architect who is working with us, created the same elements of "walls, beams and columns" in the same locations on his side but with different sizes. Is there any add-ins to indicate the differences of sizes between our model "structural" and architectural model.

Thank,

This tool is part of the Autodesk Navisworks suite and can be used to review clashes between architecture and MEP models. It may also help in identifying mismatches between structural and architectural models. If you’re working within a Revit-Revit workflow, this function allows you to track the equality of elements like walls, beams, and columns between architectural and structural models. For comparing two versions of a model and tracking changes, BIM 360 offers options to stay on top of your project updates. This software provides rulesets that can help identify problems between architectural and structural models, ensuring they align correctly.

To identify size differences between structural and architectural models, you can use tools like Navisworks Manage for clash detection and model comparison, Solibri Model Checker for advanced discrepancy checking, or Revit add-ins like "Model Compare." These tools help highlight and manage differences in element sizes and locations between the models.

; font-family: D-DINExp, 'DM Sans', -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, 'Noto Sans', sans-serif, 'Apple Color Emoji', 'Segoe UI Emoji', 'Segoe UI Symbol', 'Noto Color Emoji'; font-size: 14px;">That's a sticky situation! Sounds like a CAD clash of the titans, eh? Differing dimensions, overlapping elements... I wonder if there are BIM collaboration tools built specifically for this kind of comparison? Maybe a clash detection plugin could highlight the discrepancies? Gosh, remember that time, years ago when I was freelancing? We had major discrepancies on pipe fitting sizes between the mechanical and plumbing drawings. We spent two days straight comparing annotations line by line, it felt like sifting for gold dust. Now that's something I never want to relive. papa's games
