I work with revit 2020 LT.  I have some walls in my project that I can't select (highlight). Is this a phases problem?

It is not linked. I've tried changing the phase settings and have not found anything that solves the problem!

Walk through your phases showing one phase at a time to see what happens.

This doesn't seem to be the problem. I was able to do all the steps but the problem persists.

Are there any design options set?

Are they Pinned and you have "select pinned elements" turned off (bottom right corner revit window)? I am assuming you cannot select the walls in any view (3D, plan, section).
