I have a drawing that has been drawn over the past few months by a few different dragters! Now after not touching it sometime I am trying to reload a family that has been in the drawing sometime!. I can not complete this action because a error message that can not be ignored comes up. Error message: "This action has caused deletion of non-editable Workset ' Family : Casework : Joinery Coner Bench '. When I press the button "Make Elements Editable" it just come up again not allowing the reload of a family to happen! The family I am trying to reload is not the family mentioned in the error message and the mentioned non-editable Workset does not even exist. As a matter of fact no workset exist in this drawing! Has anyone experienced this kind of problem before? Is there something like a AutoCAD "purge" tool in Revit?

Revit does have a "purge" feature: go to File>Purge Unused... A dialog opens with all unused items in your project. I don't know if tis has anything to do with your dilemma, though. We're still trying to find out how worksets work in the first place.

Did you delete the family Joinery Coner Bench and then try to load your family?  If that works then there is a conflict that you have to resolve.
