Can anyone tell me why the Width on side 2 and Width on side 1 are greyed out on my rectangulat mullion?

i have a custom profile that is centered on the reference plane, but when i bring in the profile, assign it to the mullion, it is not centered on the grid line. i' looked and i'm getting odd numbers for the width on side 1 and side 2, but i can't change it.

there must be something in the profile, but i can't figure out what it is

you nailed it!! thank you so much! simple as the two reference planes weren't defined as the origin. 

thats what i get for assuming the profile i copied from a curtainwall manufactuer would be done correctly
