Hi!
I use often ''door openings'' in order to make ....... openings on walls. My problem is that I use the same drawing in different scales. For example 1:50 and 1:100 where the dasced lines on the openings are like they should (not so much already at 1:100) but on 1:400 there is only one line and nobody understand if there is an opening there. Is there a way to change this behaviour?
The photos are from the same drawing at 1:50, 1:100 and 1:400 scale.
Thank you.

Revit has two linetype categories, model and detail.
Because model lines will scale to meet the view scale, dashed lines become a problem. As the scale gets smaller, the dash and no-line spaces become smaller and smaller until there is no longer a dash, just a line.
Detail lines will always be the same size in 'paper space'. If the space between dashes is actually 1/16" at 1-20 scale when measured on the print, it will still measure 1/16" in a 1-100 view.

Hi WWHub,
This issue always bothers me.
In a family, all sybolic lines are Model lines.
How can I create a Detail line in a family? Which will be presented correctly in any scale?

In families, you can convert symbolic lines to model lines, and vice-versa. In a family, a symbolic line is only visible when the family is viewed from a specific direction. A model line in a family will be visible in all views of the family.
