HOW IS THE BEST WAY TO CREATE AN EXCAVATION FOR A CRAWL SPACE? I HAVE BEEN USING THE PAD TOOL BUT I DON'T WANT TO SHOW A PAD.

If I get you right you want more room under the house....ie crawl space. The best way to do this I think without creating a floor would be to just create a topo area under the house and have the points at the level you need them at. Then just extend the walls or if your using a foundation, to the level that the topo is at. Hope this works

I HAVE TRIED THIS BUT I GET A GRADUAL SLOPE. I WANT THE GRADE TO BE 6 INCHES BELOW THE TOP OF THE FOUNDATION ON THE EXTERIOR SIDE OF THE FOUNDATION WALL THEN AT LEAST 18 INCHES BELOW THE BOTTOM OF THE FLOOR JOISTS ON THE INSIDE OF THE FOUNDATION WALL.

What you have to do with the topo is, put a point on the exterior side of the wall (on the wall) and make it -6" and then on the interior side of the wall (on the wall) the points should be a -18". when you are in the SITE view you will see that the slope takes place within the wall it's self.

To find the elevation of your slab use the spot dimension tool in drafting.
