Hi!
Let me search to explain a problem that I have.
I have a series of wall that I want the external part (thats why I made ''create parts'' for these walls ) to be lower than the internal part (that seats on the floor). And all works fine till I made a Section of the building and I made ''Visibility/grafics ovveride'' in order to make the section walls with darker color.
And here there is the problem that Revit doesnt allow me to ''dark'' the walls when the ''parts visibility'' at the section is ''show parts'' but only when ''show both'' and the external part of the wall that goes bellow the internal part stays white.
Or is something that I dont do correctly?
I hope that I explained clearly the problem.

Some images may help us to understand.
Parts may not have been the best tool. You can control walls by layers. https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2017/ENU/Revit-Model/files/GUID-CCDEE011-2A5E-43AC-BD60-8F81CF432A6B-htm.html
Walls with layers defined differently is shown below.

Thank you.
I will look the solution you propose.
I include three pictures. Their names are regarding the ''parts visibility''.
On ''show original'' the ''visibility graphics overrides'' (to make the section wall darker) work but I dont have the external part go lower.
On ''show parts'' the ''visibility graphics overrides'' doesnt work and the only solution here is ''overides graphics in view'' for every part of the wall.
In ''show both'' the ''visibility graphics overrides'' works but the external part that is lower, remains white.

Hi!

In all the photos its the same wall (which has two parts). Only the external part is a gutter like in this photo.

Wow - who would have thought that this was a plan section, not a vertical section? I certainly thought it was vertical since you said nothing about orientation.
Now you need to understand wall layer function and how to control it. Here is a beginning: https://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2020/ENU/?guid=GUID-1CCD1005-CBDA-4338-8D60-489095D4BB25
This tool should solve many problems for you if you use it faithfully.

My apologies!
Al three photos are vertical sections of a wall consisted of two parts.
The external part like you said is the lower part of a down spout.
