We have a very complex model with different portions linked into a master file. We are not ready to bind due to the complexity at this time. In lieu of constantly unloading, opening the link to edit room finishes, is there a program that will allow us to edit those within the master without the constant unloading and reloading of the lnks? And hey go back to the linked files?

First, you never need to unload the file.

Second, When I had this problem, I just opened the two files at the same time, made the change in the appropriate file then saved.  Then you switch back to the other file and reload the link.

Opening a linked file still says that it will unload the link in order to proceed. I thought I had searched out a addin that would allow a schedule to be edited including the links. There were be many instances where I will need to change the room name, number, and a code we use to track space usage. The constant back and forth is becoming tasking.

Are you working in a cloud file?  If so, maybe this will help you.  https://revitforum.org/showthread.php/43316-Revit-2020-Open-more-than-one-Cloud-Models-in-a-single-session

Otherwise, this may help.  http://do-u-revit.blogspot.com/2013/06/opening-linked-models-for-editing.html

I always opened the second file in a new Revit session.
