Hi!

They gave me in office an autocad file and when trying to import it or link it to a Revit file (in order to make a pdf file from it) I can see maybe half of the lines and elements of it.

I can see everything in Autocad and I understand that only the ''proxy entities'' didn't have imported in Revit.

Is there a walk around on this problem?

Thank you.

Have you checked the offset from the level?  I have imported CAD files and had floors covering it so I raised the file above the floor level.

Thank you for help.

No. Its not that. I import the cad file and I only see a part of the drawing. Only a few elements. All the other part of the drawing is blank. There is no Revit element in front of it. Its only an import problem. Revit imports only few elements of the original drawing and not the ''proxy elements''.

It may not be a proxy problem.  Tell us more about the elements that you can't see.

  • What are they?
  • Were they created in that CAD file?
  • Check your layers and import settings.
