Hello: I have a question on how to get the aligned dimension in this example to work. With Aligned dimension selected using points #3 and #4 gives linear dimension “A” With Aligned dimension selected using points #1 and #2 gives aligned dimension “B” With Aligned dimension selected using points #1 and #3 then MANUALLY moving the witness marks I can get aligned dimension “A” (which is what I am after). How can I get this to work right the first time? The help section in Revit 9 under linear dimensions suggests this should work. Thanks -Loren

this may not be exactly what you are after, but it may help shed some light on your situation link from Revit Oped blog http://revitoped.blogspot.com/2006/05/dimension-parallel-arc-grid-lines.html HTH Post edited on 2006-06-11 11:49:29

You just need to make sure you select the correct point the first time. You are able to do it manually by manipulating the witness makrs the second time because you are selecting the correct point the second time. Tab through until you have the correct point selected (which is easier said than done).
