Hi!

I made a few legend components regarding doors. All of them have a top  orientation (the doors open above).

Is it possible to change their representation in order to show them open bellow? (I am talking about plan representation of the doors and I think that the same problem is also with windows).

Thank you for any help.

Your terms "open above" and "open below" I do not understand.

Are you asking about the "door swing" ?

I don't understand why you would want to control this in a legend component.  You can reverse the swing in the family but that would change every door already in your project.

Yes, ...swing! Thank you. Sorry, my English is quite poor.

I had used it like you said, with Revit putting all the door swings above but then my boss have showed me the drawing from another office (with every door swing bellow) and said to me that this is the standard and thats how I must do it also. ( The other drawing seemed like Revit but it could also being from Archicad, I dont know).

Thats how I saw that I dont have the possibility to change swing on the doors (and I immagine that is the same also with windows).

I dont know if there is a command that I didnt saw somewhere.

Thank you again.

Just to clarify this.

You can change the swing on any door in your plans - please see other posts on this.

The swing shown on a legend plan is dependent on how the family was created.

Thank you.

I know that I can change on a plan the swing of doors, windows ecc.

I was wandering if there was a way to change it also on a legend in a simple way like on plans but it seems it cant be done.

I put a photo of the plan drawing my boss showed to me. (Maybe have been done in Archicad, I dont know).

Your boss said "said to me that this is the standard".... <<< There is no such thing.

As you may have found out, you can not rotate a legend component.  I believe all of the stock Revit doors will show the swing up.  I think you should explain to your boss that you can alter this by editing every door family but that would affect every door in your current projects.  Not a worthwhile expense and possible problems.

BTW - In our office, the swing was always up in the legend plan.  When we had drafted40+years ago, it was up then as well.
