hello - I am a beginner w Revit 2019 (I took an online Intro to Revit course last year and am now doing a self-paced online class.)  I enjoy the self-paced classes but am begninning to feel a bit bored (and worried that might lead to not practicing as much.)

How did you learn Revit aside from courses?  Were there any websites you visited? Workbooks you could recommend?  Online groups to join? And now, how do you continue to cultivate your exposure to / familiarity with Revit?

Thank you for any suggestions!

Victoria

You can only learn so much from books.  At some point, you have to put your knowledge to practice.  Revit was created for architects and engineers to model AND CREATE WORKING DRAWINGS.  You don't say if you are a student or a practicing professional.  Start using Revit to create a set of drawings and that will push you into finding solutions to what you can and need to learn.

You may try to create some parametric families with shared parameters, such as doors. If you know how to create those families, then you can fly.

Without practice, you can't do anything.

I recommend that you find an online job exchange in your country, where there are tasks for designers and architects and try to complete easy tasks. Because you are a beginner - offer low prices. Without practice, you will not learn anything.

You can learn some of the techniques by looking at the projects of the exept:
