Hello!
I'm trying to organize an equipment schedule going room-by-room. I've put the parameters I need into our equipment families and I've gotten the schedule to sort them out by Room Number first and then list the families with their parameters below that for each room. The problem is I don't want to have empty parameter columns going on and on for rooms that don't contain that particular parameter. Basically, I'd like have each room just showing only the parameter fields/columns that are applicable to that particular room.
I can accomplish this by creating a completely new schedule for each room - but is there a way to do this all in one schedule for all the rooms in the project at the same time?
Or at the very least, can I combine the individual room schedules into one big schedule later on?
Hope that makes sense. I attached a couple of screenshots showing my schedule so far. Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks!!!

You can have a schedule for each element and that would show the room it is in. That would be better than creating a schedule for each room.

1. See the attached FF & E Schedule, if that’s what you are looking for.
2. Some family templates, such as Mechanical Equipment and Furniture templates have these two fields in it. Check the “Shared”, and “Room Calculation Point” in the “Properties.”
3. Save the family and reload into your project.
4. In schedule, add the field “Room Name”.
5. Un-check the “Itemize every instance” in the “Schedule Properties” under “Sorting/Grouping”. Then you will get what is shown on the attached schedule.
Forgot one thing, you need to select available fields from "Room", and add the "Room Name" to the schedule.
