On a drafting view, I can place a section cut to create a drafting view section. Then I can place that section view on a sheet and populate the correct reference.
Does any way that I can place a section cut on a model view, such as a floor plan, and refer to a drafting view such as a “Floor Transition” detail?

Hi WWHub,
Thanks for your response.
However, my question was that I would like to have a section mark with a tail instead of the rectangular bubble. Which allows me to refer to a drafting view to show a floor material transition on the plan view for example.
The view family is a system family, if the Revit does not have that, then I would like to know if I can create a view family to achieve what I need.
Thanks again!

No, I answered your original question, how tyo refer to a drafting view in a floor plan section. Now you are asking something completely different and I do not understand the question. It seems to be modifying the tail on a section cut which is up to you.

I got the answer, it’s simple, and I don’t know why I have struggled a while.
1. Under the View tab, in Create panel, click “Section”; then check the box “Reference Other View”. Then you can use
2. the section cut. In Project Browser, under Drafting Views, a new drafting view “Section 1” will be shown.
Drag that view and place onto a sheet. That’s it, just like a callout.
