I'm a student trying to advance myself in Revit. There is probably another way I should be building this wall assembly, but this is what  I came up with. I wanted to have a stud wall and rigid insulation built into one wall assembly. For me to be abble to join interior walls into the perimeter stud, I needed to change the foundation wall to finish and have the stud layer as structure (as seen working in the plan view).

However, this is giving me problems when I start to lay down the strip footing. The footing centers itself with the entire wall assembly, which is 1'3" wide. The eccentricity option only lets me add up to 2" for some reason (probably because my wall section needs to have it's entire width supported). Therefore I can't place my footing at the correct spot.

As mentioned before, I'm probably doing my wall the wrong way. Some help in guiding me in the right direction would be much appreciated.

Model foundation wall and stud wall with insulation as two separate walls. Model as it is built in the real world. They pour the foundation first, 2x furring (non-structural) is usually added much later in the construction process. For the furring wall, set the stud layer within core boundary – it will join nicely with the interior partitions.

That’s what I thought. Would hav ebeen cool to have the stud wall and insulation modelled in one go, but I guess I’ll split those up like you said. Thanks
