Hi,

I've recently been asked to export a file to IFC for use in an construction management app. When I test the IFC file in the autodesk viewer it looks fine, however when they import it to their system, the materials and linework are invisible and it is very difficult to see on screen, Just a bunch of ghostly white faces. I don't have access to their system. So far the best result in the autodesk viewer is IFC 2X3.

Any idea of things to check/ test/ threads to read etc?

Full disclousre: I'm very new to IFC exporting, i'm reasonably familiar with revit however its not my main software, we are just testing the workflow.

Thank you

Jo

I can't help much but I suggest you remember this.  IFC requires both ends - sending and receiving - to work correctly.  Some platforms work better with some than others.
