i am trying to use the Out Of The Box LVL-Laminated Veneer Lumber-Section DETAIL ITEM. when i place this detail item in my model and rotate it the fill region stays in the same direction as it was in its original position. how can i correct this so that the fill region is relative to the detail item? i am attaching a screen shot of what i described.

You could duplicate the Lumber, then create a new hatch patern that is at the desired angle you wanted to have it rotated.
