Hello still learning Revit, using R2019 and current employer wants Revit to look like ACAD and have X placed over symbols that are to be Demo'd. Looking for best way and not just placing annotation over all my symbols on Demo phase?

There is no method to do this. You could edit your family and include a type that has the 'X'....but I would probably do what you did in cad and add an 'X' sybol in your plans.
