You should have said that you were in Louisiana. You are in a sparse area for this so look here.

A few in our office took a week's training session at Imaginit in 2006 and that was a great start.  But it takes a lot more than that.   These few individuals were well motivated and suited to learning this new program.  Then we expanded our knowledge by working in an open office where we all shared new things we learned.  I doubt that we would have been as succesful if not for that.

Agree with WWDub.

Step 1: Get a new project. Step 2: Get approval to do project in Revit.Step 3: Get training from approved Autodesk trainer ( or in-house experienced BIM Manager). Should take about 3 days (course) 2 days (one on one)Step 4: Return to office and start modelling new project. You will need an in-house experienced BIM Manager to give you ongoing support for a few months. (nope not joking)What not to do:- Proceed without the full support of management. Without support they will look for the first sign of faltering and make you return to AutoCAD.- Think that having done a course in Revit that you are now ready to use it. (Its a really complex software. There is tonnes to learn)- Learn Revit in isolation (You will learn bad habits and perpetuate them and burn through project time)- Use Revit like you do AutoCAD. (Revit is intelligent. You must utilise this)- Have no inhouse Revit support. You will waste days and days finding that one single Revit tool that does the job you need and end up giving up and start doing it the wrong unintelligent (AutoCAD) way.
