For past couple of weeks. I am experimenting to see what I can make Revit software do. Well I finally manage to built Delorean within Revit as a test piece. See what you think.

Good job and a great way to improve your modeling skills.

How large did that family end up being and if you used sub-families, how many?

If it is the car only, I get size at 26.5mb. With Delorean with the time machine retrofit, I get about 101.25mb. This comes with over 70+ components.  Way too big for usage, but it makes me understand how Revit behaves.

I'm sure you learned a lot from that.  My first full, Revit project was this parking garage in Virginia I did in 2005-2006.  The cars and trees were of course out of the box but all of the garage elements were mine.  The floors were all precast double T planks and of course pc beams and panels.  What I learned from that project got me off to a good start.  There were not a lot of families back then.

That is pretty good. I did help Autodesk with their online viewer. When uploading file created from Revit, it display invisible surface. I am kinda surprise given this is autodesk, they would've resolved these issue. I guess they don't think anyone would've make complex car within Revit.
