Revit 2017 - I am looking for how to make a faux window. I havn't found any to use as a goby or I am not looking in the right places. Any suggestions how I wouls go by making a faux window? - Thanks Byron

My assumption is you want a window that looks like a window from the outside but is not visible from the inside.You would need to do the following:1) Edit the solid elements of window so they only protrude to a minimum depth into the building and not fully through the external wall.2) Add a solid layer behind the clear glass to prevent anyone seeing any further than the rear face of the glass.3) Don't use an opening cut to cut away the wall but use a void to cut the wall partially through its depth, so the window frame/glass etc can embed in the recess and look like a normal window. The depth will depend on your window detail and wall buildup. You will need to select the void and tell it to cut the wall but to not cut (uncut) the window frame and glass etc.Setting a reference line and locking it to your external wall face will be a good start.
